Review highlights
Based on 121 reviewsRestoran Broga, a Chinese eatery in Beranang, Negeri Sembilan, is widely appreciated for its home-style cooking and flavorful signature dishes, particularly its fried fish with a tangy assam sauce and unique offerings like pig intestine. Reviewers consistently highlight the reasonable pricing and welcoming atmosphere, noting friendly service and a quiet environment that fills up quickly during peak times. While some dishes may vary in texture, the overall food quality remains well-regarded. The recent rebranding to Restoran Chong Broga and minor renovations have been positively received, reflecting steady business growth. However, occasional external factors like nearby street activity have been mentioned but do not detract significantly from the dining experience.
Decent restaurant by roadside. General home cooked food. Like their special sauce fish - sourish and not spicy. 1 fish, 1 pepper venison, 1 signature tofu, 1 vege, total meal cost around RM $110+, reasonable.
First time there. Environment is quiet and nice. The uncle taking order is friendly. Food is good, petai fish was a bit hard because it's fried but taste good. Particularly liked the pig intestine dish, the texture is nice, a bit crunchy but not chewy. Went there on a public holiday at 5+, around 6+ it was already packed. There's a durian stall next to it with 6 dogs when we were there so just beware, they didn't bother us though.
The restaurant specialties dish -fried tilapia with assam sauce is really good. The fried fish is crunchy and the sauce is sweet and sourish taste with a bit of spiciness where 14 years old also can take. Overall food is quite good and price is acceptable.
Restoran Brogla has recently been renamed as Restoran Chong Broga. I have been going here for years but on my last visit recently, I almost missed the place because of the name change. Management and food are still the same though although there is a slight renovation to increase the space. This is a good thing as like most restaurants in Broga, business is booming and getting a table without a reservation is getting harder and harder. Food prices are reasonable and portions are big. Don't expect much is terms of food presentation though as the theme here is "home cooked" style.
